AI that does one job well

Intake, document handling, review replies, reporting. Built around an outcome you can measure, with the checks that keep it honest. Not a chatbot bolted to your homepage.

What I build for Columbus businesses

  • Review replies.Drafts responses to your Google reviews in your voice, and you approve before anything posts.
  • Intake.Turns the forms, emails and calls coming in into clean records in whatever system you already use.
  • Documents and invoices.Reads the paperwork, pulls out what matters, and flags what doesn’t add up. QuickBooks included.
  • Reporting. The weekly numbers you keep meaning to pull, pulled.
  • Something else that eats your week.If a person does the same thing every day, ask me.

How it works, and what it costs

  • 1. AI Opportunity Assessment: $950.I map two or three of your workflows, rank them by return, and hand you a working prototype of one on sample data plus a written plan. You find out what is worth doing before you commit to anything.
  • 2. Pilot: $4,500.One workflow, built on your own account, running alongside the person who does the job today for two to four weeks. I measure it against them: accuracy, time saved, errors caught. You get a plain go or no-go report.
  • 3. Build: $7,500 to $15,000.The pilot switched on for real, with a person checking where it counts. Every dollar of the pilot credits toward the build.
  • 4. Running it: $500 to $1,500 a month.Monitoring, evaluation, and keeping up as models and prices change. Model fees themselves are usually small.

Not sure it is a fit? Tell me the job in an email and I’ll tell you honestly whether it is worth an assessment.

Why me

  • I build the tools, not just use them.I research how to build AI systems people can govern, and published a paper on it: A Structural Theory of Harnesses (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19570642).
  • Checks, not trust.Every significant change I make is reviewed by independent AI models from different makers, plus deterministic checks and my own sign-off. Your system gets the same treatment: it shows its work, and a person signs off where it matters.
  • Real costs, up front.Running costs are usually small. The money is in building it right and keeping it honest. Here’s what an AI agent actually costs.
  • Local.I’m downtown. I’ll sit with you and watch how the work actually gets done before I build anything.

Common questions

Where does my data go?
The tools I build run on your account with the AI provider, under that provider’s business terms, so your data does not pass through a personal subscription of mine. I’ll tell you which provider and what it does with your data before you commit, and what stays on your own systems.

What happens when it gets something wrong?
It will, sometimes. That is why anything customer-facing goes through a check. A Canadian airline was held responsible for what its chatbot told a customer (Moffatt v. Air Canada, 2024), and you would be too.

What does it cost per month to run?
Usually less than you would think in AI usage: a few hundred review replies a month costs a few dollars in model fees. Hosting and upkeep are separate, and the monthly figure goes in writing, in dollars.

Do I need technical staff?
No.
